Rowing has one of the most active Masters Programs including a handicap chart for age groups. The national sponsoring organization for rowing is USRowing.
NEWS: For indoor training, there appears to be a movement afoot to replace, or supplement, the tradition "static" erg, such as the Concept2, with a dynamic machine that more closely mimics the feel of rowing on water. The three most prominent dynamic rowers are the Rowperfect RP3, the OarTec, and the Concept2 Dynamic Indoor Rower. See RowingNews, June 2011, page 22 for more information.

|The term "competitors" refers to the entries in each event. In rowing, an individual may enter several events (e.g. single, double, quad, eights). For this reason, an individual may represent multiple "competitors" in this table. |
